Time Commitment: 4 - 12 hours a week during the school year

Homework Club for 3rd, 4th, 5thgraders: Monday – Friday,
3:00 – 5:30 PM
Start Now for K, 1st, 2ndgraders: Monday and Wednesday,
5:30 – 7:30 PM
Creative Center for 3 – 12 year olds: Monday – Thursday,
5:30 – 8:00 PM

Homework Club:
Assist 3rd, 4thand 5thgraders to experience the joy of learning while reading, writing and solving math challenges.
Collaborate with program staff to coach students and work in teams.
Have fun interacting with a small group of children by doing games and other educational/creative activities .
Mentor the students to become excited and achieve their learning goals.
Use your strengths and love of math and language arts to get the children to master new skills.
Enjoy using the state-of-the-art computer lab to increase students accomplishments.
Understand and follow all Community Learning Center Volunteer procedures.
Participate in training sessions.

Start Now:

Assist K, 1st and 2nd grade children and their parents in doing activities like the reading circle, writing and math exercises, educational games, and more.
Be familiar with books, games, crafts supplies, and other materials available for the children.
Help families use materials appropriately.

Creative Center:

Assist with children between the ages of 3 – 12 years doing activities such as arts & crafts, educational games using the computer, reading, painting, etc.


Qualifications:

Minimum age: 16 yrs. Fingerprinting will be required for those selected.
