South San Francisco Fire Department Honors 24 Newly Hired and Promoted During its Spring Badge Ceremony
SSFFD hires 11 new paramedic fire fighters and promotes several roles within the department
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., April 25, 2024 –24 South San Francisco Fire Department members were officially welcomed and promoted into new roles during a promotion ceremony on Wednesday.
“As the fire chief, I take great pride in the quality of the people that we have working in this department and serving this community. These are people of great character, hard workers, driven to make a difference, and eager to help,” said South San Francisco Fire Chief Jess Magallanes at the ceremony.
During the badge ceremony, the following people were recognized:

South San Francisco Firefighters, Administrators, family and friends gathered to celebrate the new additions and the newly promoted at the South San Francisco Fire Station 61 on April 24.
“This next generation of paramedic firefighters and department leaders will continue to do all they can to keep this city safe. And I’m proud of every single one of them,” said Magallanes.
