Eunejune Kim, PE, PLS
Director of Public Works/City Engineer
Eunejune Kim has been in public service for over 30 years and was appointed Public Works Director and City Engineer for the City of South San Francisco in February 2017. He is responsible for ensuring that the quality of life of South San Francisco residents is maintained and safeguarded through innovative and effective public works projects.
Overseeing all Public Works divisions, including Engineering, Maintenance and Operations, and the Water Quality Control Plant, Eunejune's responsibilities encompass managing city-owned utilities, streets, roads, bridges, storm and drainage systems, sewers, and traffic and transportation systems.
Eunejune has a strong educational background in civil engineering, holding a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, and a master's degree from San Jose State University in Civil Engineering. He is also a licensed civil engineer, land surveyor, and traffic engineer in the state of California.
Actively involved in professional organizations, Eunejune has served as a board member and former president of the Peninsula Association of Contractors and Engineers (PACE). His leadership and technical expertise have been instrumental in managing infrastructure projects and public services to meet the growing needs of the South San Francisco community.
