The South San Francisco Police Department Has a New Home!

The South San Francisco Police Department, located at 1 Chestnut Avenue, opened its doors to the public on February 28, 2022. This new 43,000 square foot Police Operations & 911 Dispatch Center will help reduce police emergency response times, and enhance public safety by providing a state-of-the-art Emergency Response Center. It was designed as an “essential services building,” and is built to earthquake resistant standards that are 1.5 times more stringent than normal construction, providing critical protection so our first responders are able to assist the community regardless of the emergency. Public tours of the new facility are available, plus the facility includes a new training/community room which can seat up to 40 people, available for use by community groups needing meeting space.
