Wild Poppies in the Twilight Rain

This cobalt blue sculpture was added to the city's art collection thanks to a generous donation by Genentech. Wild Poppies in the Twilight Rain was one of the first hearts Genentech sponsored in its 2013 "Heroes & Hearts" fundraising event. This annual event raises financial support and awareness for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation. The sculpture was originally installed on the Genentech campus which has been headquartered in South San Francisco, since the company's founding in 1976. This was followed by an exhibit at San Francisco's Union Square for several months in 2014.
