Welcome to the South San Francisco Public Library Literacy Services. Literacy Services includes the Community Learning Center and Project Read and offers programs to assist you in reaching your literacy and educational goals.

Literacy skills are the foundation that you use to make important decisions in life, and we want to be sure you have the tools you need including literacy in reading, finance, and technology.

The Gene Mullin Community Learning Center supports family literacy with after-school and summer homework programs for children, adult classes in computer literacy, citizenship, literacy in Spanish, and various classes focused on current community needs.

Project Read of Northern San Mateo County

"Learning for Life"

The mission of Project Read is to assist adults and their families to reach their literacy and financial education goals through one-on-one tutoring, money management training, family activities and more. Project Read serves the communities of Colma, Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco.
