Community Outreach Programs
Proudly Serving Our Community
We love our residents! The City of South San Francisco is pleased to offer the following community programs.
Memorial Day Remembrance Procession and Ceremony
Every year the City of South San Francisco holds a special Memorial Day procession and ceremony in honor and remembrance of our community's and nation's servicemen, servicewomen, and K-9s who selflessly and courageously gave their lives so today we can live in freedom. The City proudly partners with our Fire and Police Departments, local Boys and Girl Scout troops, service clubs and organizations, and community volunteers on Memorial Day in observance and remembrance of our brave fallen men, women, and K-9s.
Honoring Our Veterans
South City honors our Veterans! To show our heartfelt appreciation to our community's and nation's Veterans. the City encourages small business owners to offer discounted services on Veteran's Day or during the week.
Caring About Our Community: Holiday Toy Drive
The City's Police and Fire Departments, together with City staff, South City's core agencies, and community volunteers work hand-in-hand during the Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday season to bring food, fresh produce, and toys to the families in our communities.
Calling All Volunteers
The success of the City's community outreach programs rely heavily on our wonderful team of volunteers! If you're interested in volunteering for one, two, or all of the City's community outreach programs, please contact Marie Patea at 650.829.6666 or marie.patea@ssf.net.
