LEARNING FOR LIFE AT YOUR LIBRARY

Celebrating 26 years of service to the communities of Colma,
Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco

Mission Statement:  We assist adults and their families in reaching their literacy and financial goals.

Financial literacy is just as important to an individual's future as good basic reading and writing skills.  Awareness and understanding of both basic literacy and financial literacy skills are the foundation on which individuals have the capacity to make important decisions.

Testimonials:

"We all know it could have been ten times easier for me if I was able to read and write.  If you are struggling the same way as I did, don't wait 20-30 years to get help, life is too short."  Anonymous - Learner

“Project Read has always steered me in the right direction.  I wanted to show Jacqueline the right way to plan for her future when it came to her finances.”  Patty, Client

"I really like my financial coach.  Getting someone to think with me makes it a lot easier.  We're working on my spending plan and I am more aware of how I spend my money."  Donna, Client

"Project Read has enriched my life by allowing me to meet a wonderful and caring group of people.  Learners, tutors, and staff all share the goal of advancing literacy in our community.  We all learn from and help each other on our individual paths of life."  Pat - Volunteer Tutor and Coach
