1. Where can I find an application to become a member of a board or commission?

Board and Commission members are made up of residents of South San Francisco and appointed by the City Council.

Applications are accepted year-round, and kept on file for one year. Applicants will be contacted when interviews are scheduled.

If you wish to apply, complete the Application for Boards and Commissions and submit it to:
City Clerk Office
400 Grand Ave.
South San Francisco, CA 94080

General requirements include:

• Must be a registered voter within the City of South San Francisco
• Interest and motivation to serve the public
• Sufficient time available to devote to evening or day meetings and the preparation for meetings
