Posted 2/07/17 - SSF Police Kick Off Hispanic Community Academy

Last Thursday, more than 30 Hispanic residents of South San Francisco attended their first Community Academy, which is held annually through the South San Francisco Police Department and provides an inside look at the Police Department, how it functions and what it offers the citizens of the community. Every year since 2000, the South San Francisco Police Department has conducted a Hispanic Community Academy, which has led to greater trust and a closer partnership between the Hispanic community and police. More than 400 residents have graduated from the Academy since its inception.
