Marietta Lou Harris has served on the Personnel Board for the City of South San Francisco since January 2009. Marietta considers herself an “army brat” as she was born in Fort Lewis, Washington, and raised in Arizona, South Carolina and Germany, until moving to Fort Ord, California at the age of 10. She attended Sierra College in Rocklin, California, receiving her Associates Degree in Administration; continuing on to CSU Sacramento, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communication.
Marietta currently works as the Human Resources Manager for the San Mateo County Harbor District. Prior to this, Marietta worked as Human Resources Manager for Aircraft Service International Group at SFO; and for the State of California in Human Resources, Equal Employment Opportunity, and the Office of Civil Rights.
Currently, Marietta resides in South San Francisco with her partner Dwayne Camp, and his two children: Dwayne, Jr., and Danyce.
Marietta enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Always having had a strong interest in Human Resources, Marietta was drawn to the Personnel Board, satisfying her desire to serve her community, especially during these important times.
