After School Recreation Programs

The Licensed After School Recreation Program is designed for children enrolled in Kindergarten- 5th Grade. They are licensed through the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. Our Programs operate in accordance with the South San Francisco Unified School District days of operation calendar. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Each program is designed as an expanded learning program to meet the academic, emotional, physical, and social needs and interests of the children enrolled. The program provides some academic support, recreation activities, and cultural enrichment through a play-based curriculum. Many of the activities planned for the children enrolled meet the CORE curriculum standards as we actively partner with the schools to ensure the children are on a pathway to a successful academic career.

A before-school care-only package is offered as well as part-time and full-time schedules. Please refer to the Pre-Enrollment Application.

ASES R.E.A.L. Program

The R.E.A.L. (Recreation, Enrichment and Learning) After School Program is funded by the State of California.  The R.E.A.L. Program is located at Martin Elementary School and Los Cerritos Elementary School.

The purpose of our program is to expand learning beyond the school day and beyond classroom doors and walls.  Our program compliments, supports and enhances daily classroom instruction.  The program, while structured, provides staff and students with choices.  Our program encourages creativity, imagination and flexibility.  Our program focuses on creating educational projects that make learning fun.  Students participate in a balance of individual activities, small and large group activities, indoor and outdoor activities, and quiet as well as active play.  For more information please contact Kelli Jo Cullinan or Ryan Campagna at 650-875-6900 or kelli.cullinan@ssf.net or ryan.campagna@ssf.net

FULL OF FUN Camp

The Full of Fun Camp came about as a result of parents of teens with disabilities asking about summer programs for their teens.  In 2007 we designed and implemented our first camp. The goal was simple. To offer a camp for these special teens that allows them to just “hang out” with their nondisabled peers.  Full of Fun Camp operates for 3 weeks during the summer from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm and once a month during the school year with our Nights Of Fun.  For more information about our program or volunteering please contact Kelli Jo Cullinan or Laura Armanino at 650-875-6900 or kelli.cullinan@ssf.net or laura.armanino@ssf.net.

Staff Qualifications
