The Community Learning Center’s educational programs, which focus on family support and community building, assist South San Francisco residents in reaching their full potential. 

Our Mission

We believe that each child, youth and adult has unique strengths, talents and skills. Incorporating these gifts, we build a community where people learn and teach each other in order to experience personal and professional success. We are committed to building an environment that fosters:

Adult P​rograms

Introduction to Computers

Beginner computer classes for adults.
Bilingual class English/Spanish​

Open Computer Lab

  • For adults and high school students 
  • To use basic and advanced computer skills.  
  • Work independently on projects.  
  • Available software to learn and improve English  
  • Develop and increase elementary school level math skills through internet resources 
  • Job application and resume assistance online​

Native (Spansh) Language Literacy

  • Open to adults who are native Spanish speakers
  • Leamos@theLibrary is a NEW online program teaching basic literacy with a tutor
  • Multi-level class is led by volunteer teachers

After-School Program

for elementary school age children who live or attend a school in South San Francisco

Homework Club

  • For children in 3rd - 5th grades
  • Homework quality and completion in math, writing, and reading.

Start Now

  • For children in K-2nd grades 
  • Parent/child program in a fun and supportive environment. Includes classroom, computer lab, and creative center. Provide parents with opportunities to learn through provider presentations, role modeling, and discussion groups.
