1.  What businesses will be going into the mall at the corner of Callan and Meath?
Seafood City is in the process of opening a specialty grocery store & "lifestyle food court" at 3573 Callan Blvd. This is the first phase of a major renovation of the Callahan shopping center where Goldilocks Bakery used to be. 2.  What is the Rotary Senior Project?
The Rotary Club of South San Francisco has proposed to develop a senior residential project of three properties; 310, 312, and 314 Miller Avenue, and the municipal parking lot at 318-320 Miller Avenue

The proposed project is a five-story, mixed-use building designed in a mix of modern architectural styles.  The first floor is comprised of a parking lot, a resident lobby, a commercial/office space, bicycle storage, and utility spaces.  Eighty-one residential units, serviced by an elevator core and two stairwells, are located on floors two through five.  The proposed amenities include the following:  a community room adjacent to an open-air courtyard for resident use; a courtyard with planting areas, exercise equipment, and seating areas; and a foot terrace on the fifth floor.  Originally the proposal called for 91 units; however, Rotary recently reduced the number to 81 units to better accommodate the lot size.

Of the residential units, there are one studio, one two-bedroom manager’s unit, and 79 one-bedroom units.  The size of the one-bedroom units range from 550 square feet to 600 square feet.

The units will be made available to senior households at or below 50% of the Adjusted Median Income (AMI) with rents from 30% to 50% AMI.

3.  What is going on at the corner of Grand and Mission?
The lot at Grand and Mission was an auto repair and fueling station. It was demolished in 2011. The electrical meter, 50 gallon drums and pumps are for environmental remediation. Recently City Code Enforcement contacted the lot’s owner and had the owner clean up the lot (removing old wood pallets, weeds, etc.)
We are not aware of any planned activity at this site, although the lot is for sale. 
 
4.   What is going on with the Centennial Village project?
The Centennial Village project is a new mixed-use project will provide 284 housing units at the rear of the property, with an adjacent parking garage, within walking distance to San Bruno BART. The shopping center will have 220,000 SF of retail, including a new Safeway, fitness club, Ross Dress-for-Less, and other shops and restaurants. 5.   What is being built near the South San Francisco BART station?
The project you've noticed is a residential development by City Ventures.  They are building 35 new townhomes on the vacant lot at 1256 Mission Road, just one block from BART. City Ventures started site work (demolition, grading, etc.) in July, and they plan to sell the new homes in mid-2016.
