Boys and Girls Club Mural

Club Artwork_thumb.JPG Approximately thirty student participants along with several staff from the Boys & Girls Club of North San Mateo County and Precita Eyes Mural Artists, an arts organization based in San Francisco and responsible for many of that city’s beautiful murals, collaborated to design a mural around the theme of friendship at the Boys & Girls Club. Children discussed what “friendship” meant to them, and drew their own designs to represent what was important to them in their friendships.  Muralists then brought these designs together into a cohesive theme. The mural was completed over the course of several afternoon sessions and two community weekend paint-ins.
