Pedestrian/Bicycle Grant Announcements
The City of South San Francisco has been successful in securing over $1 million in grant funding for pedestrian and bicycle improvement projects, including the following:
  • San Mateo County Transportation Authority's (TA) Measure A Funds [SSF Sharrow & Striping Program]
  • Transportation Development Act (TDA) Funds [Pedestrian Improvements at W. Orange Avenue and Miller Avenue, Pedestrian Crossing Improvements at El Camino High School]
  • Pedestrian Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Grant [Los Cerritos School/West Orange Avenue Traffic Calming Project]
  • Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) [Grand Avenue/Magnolia Avenue Traffic Signal Project]
  • Regional Bicycle Program/Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Funding [South San Francisco Regional Gap Closure Project] - Construction Completed February 2013
