Downtown Facade Improvment Program

Project Area
Unfortunately funding for Fiscal Year 15-16 has been allocated.  New projects for Fiscal Year 16-17 will be reviewed in May 2016.

About the Program

The City of South San Francisco offers local businesses an opportunity to take part in beautifying the downtown streetscape. The The Downtown Facade Improvement Program, which is funded through the federal Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG), provides grants to rehabilitate eligible downtown business facades. For business owners, it is a way to make your business more attractive to downtown visitors. An attractive streetscape increases civic pride and encourages support for businesses, which in turn is beneficial to the community and the local economy
