About Us

Located in a historic Carnegie building adjacent to City Hall, the Grand Avenue branch of the South San Francisco Public Library is a small, busy library serving the diverse population of the Old Town neighborhood. After a year long renovation, the Grand Avenue Library opened its doors on October 15, 2016. 

Grand Avenue Library Turns 100 Years Old

In September 2016 the Grand Avenue Library turned 100 years old and celebrated its birthday with reopening as a newly renovated branch. Please take a moment and listen to Congresswoman Jackie Speier share her memories of the Grand Avenue Library.
